The “Song for Jamaica” project will see the winner of this competition performing at the Jamnesia Showcase in Bull Bay, St Thomas on the island of Jamaica in 2013. This project was originally set for the Reggae Sumfest festival but was adapted due to personnel changes at one of our sponsors following the change of the national government.

Jamnesia is the brainchild of Billy Wilmot, hailed as Jamaica’s Godfather of Surfing who holds regular surfing based events in the Bull Bay area of the island. It is based around the appreciation of “Roots” based Reggae music as he himself was in a roots band called Mystic Revealers.

We will be developing the promotion of the “Song for Jamaica” project in line with the build up to the Olympics as we expect there will be a huge focus on Jamaica during this time.
